OUR SCHOOL

HOME l OUR SCHOOL
Bunnythorpe
School is a rural school situated between Feilding and Palmerston North which
caters for Year 0 - Year 8 pupils. The majority of families have at least one
member of their family commute to one of the centres for work and only a
minimal number of families are engaged in true rural farming activities. Our school buildings were totally remodelled
and modernised in 1996 with the aim retain a traditional yet innovative working
environment for pupils and staff.
Staff members maintain a flexible, adaptable
approach to teaching and use digital technology to support learning and
teaching in classrooms. All staff are a
dedicated professional group who give that little extra to assist the Bunnythorpe
School and the wider community to pursue and achieve its goals, academically and
culturally.
We
are part of the Kainui Cluster which promotes inter-school cultural, sporting
events for our students and professional development and collegial support for
teachers. Being
close to Palmerston North and Feilding, the school has ready access to
educational services and facilities such as speech therapists and educational
psychologists in association with the Special Educational Services. It also works with specialists from Massey
University College of Education.
OUR VISION
Our
children will be confident, connected, active learners and positive
risk-takers.
