BUSH RESERVE

HOME l BUSH RESERVE
The Bunnythorpe School Bush Reserve started as a project in a paddock adjacent to the school in 1995. Since
then the school has held many planting days to extend the number of
native plants in the reserve. The Bush Reserve has a track around the
reserve and two small bridges. Gradually over time the native
plants have taken hold. As this has happened many small native birds
started making the Bush Reserve their habitat. Today you can hear the birds in the Bush Reserve and if you sit quietly there you will see fantail, waxeye, occasionally tui and wood pigeon. We
would like to thank the various community businesses and groups for
donating time and resources to assist in the development and maintenance
of our Bush Reserve.
